The Cleveland Browns are in a weird spot.
They re-signed Myles Garrett to record-setting money, so this isn’t a total rebuild. But they also haven’t solved their long-standing quarterback roles, so they aren’t necessarily a real contender.
That gives other teams the chance to potentially take advantage of Cleveland in a trade to potentially nudge the Browns in one direction or the other.
In this case, it’s the Dallas Cowboys being suggested as a team that will take a veteran off of Cleveland’s hands.
Pro Football Network’s Sterling Xie suggests that the Cowboys should try to trade for offensive lineman Wyatt Teller from the Browns.
Teller could replace the hole filled by the retirement of future Hall of Famer, Zach Martin.

The Browns have had Teller since they traded for him from Buffalo in 2019. He was a Pro Bowler three years in a row from 2021 to 2023.
Teller is entering the final year of his contract. The 30-year old wasn’t as good in 2024, but there’s still room for a bounceback if he gets into the right situation.
It’s hard to know exactly how individual offensive linemen will fit together as a unit, but getting someone with Teller’s blocking talent into the building would be the first step for Dallas.
New head coach Brian Schottenheimer could always use another talented blocker to help out Dak Prescott and the running game behind him.
Teller could very well be that guy for the Cowboys, and given that he doesn’t really fit the Browns timeline, he’s a prime veteran trade candidate.
