Another summer is flying by, and with that, so is another NBA offseason. Just over a week removed from the Summer League’s conclusion, we still have a roughly two months before we’ll see the Nets in action again. This week, however, we did learn who they’ll be up against once they return.
Monday morning, the team announced its 2026 preseason schedule. It includes the following four matchups:
That’s only one preseason game at the Barclays Center. The Nets had only one at home last year as well, although two of their four were played overseas.
With these being preseason bouts, there’s no telling who’ll suit up for any of them. That being said, most of Brooklyn’s opponents present compelling cases to watch from a roster standpoint. After the Hornets, its three first-looks at new-look squads: LeBron James and Jaylen Brown with the Philadelphia 76ers, Anthony Davis and AJ Dybantsa with the Washington Wizards, and Giannis Antetokounmpo with the Miami Heat.
One notable Summer League absentee this year was Nolan Traoré, who sat out after having a scope on his right knee. However, C.J. Holmes of the New York Daily News reported that the guard should be healthy by the start of training camp, which begins just prior to the preseason. Traoré was also seen getting shots up in Vegas a few weeks ago, even if refraining from any actual game action.
The YES Network will cover and televise each preseason contest this year. The NBA and the Nets released the full regular season schedule on August 14th last year, so keep an eye out for that in the coming weeks as well.
