Chris Eubank, Jr. defeated Conor ‘The Destroyer’ Benn over 12 close rounds, winning a unanimous decision with all judges scoring it the same on Saturday night in their middleweight contender at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London.

Eubank, Jr., 35-3 (25 outworked  Benn, 23-1 (14) in the main event, winning a close 12-round decision.

Initially, Eubank was the favorite, while the fans’ favorite is Benn. At the start of the second round, in a clinch, Eubank would hit behind the head and back of Benn. Both were given a warning by referee Victor Loughlin. In the third round, after a minute, Benn rocked Eubank with a right on the chin, making him grab Benn into a clinch. Halfway through the round, they tumbled to the canvas.

In the fourth round’s midway point, Eubank rocked Benn with a right uppercut on the chin. In the fifth round, Eubank pushed Benn to the canvas. Benn used an effective jab, while Eubank used both hands to deliver blows to the body and head. In the sixth round’s final seconds, Eubank was warned for hitting behind the head of Benn—another close round. Benn seemed to take the first three rounds, and Eubank the next three rounds at the halfway point.

In the eighth round, Eubank continued his dirty tactics while Benn fought back in a close fight. In the ninth round, Eubank suffered a small cut on his left cheekbone, having suffered one on the right earlier in the fight. In the ninth round, Eubank continues slipping punches for the most part against the younger Benn, but lands as many punches.

In the tenth round’s final minute, Eubank suffered a small cut on the corner of his right eye. In the eleventh round, Eubank keeps checking the time while outlanding Benn.

In the twelfth and final round, Eubank came out like a fighter needing a knockout, swarming all over Benn for the most part. They gave the fans their money’s worth in this one. Could it be a draw?

Scores 116-112 by all three judges.

Middleweight Liam ‘Beefy’ Smith, 33-5-1 (20) lost to Aaron ‘Silencer’ McKenna, 20-0 (10), by a 12-round unanimous decision.

In the twelfth and last round, due to a clash of heads, Smith was cut over the left eye. McKenna dropped Smith for an 8-count from Referee John Latham.

Scores 119-108, 118-108, and 117-109.

In the co-feature in their third meeting, each winning one light heavyweight, Anthony Yarde, 27-3 (24), defeated former IBO champion Lyndon ‘King’ Arthur, 24-3 (16), by a 12-round unanimous decision for the WBA Intercontinental title.

In the first six rounds, Yarde had Arthur against the ropes for the most part. In the ninth round, Yarde had Arthur against the ropes. In the tenth round, it continued with Arthur landing a solid right on the chin of Yarde in the final thirty seconds.

In the eleventh round’s final minute, Yarde had Arthur almost defenseless at the bell. In the twelfth and final round, after touching gloves, they fought in the middle of the ring for about twenty seconds before Yarde pushed Arthur to the ropes.

Referee Steve Gray. Scores 115-113, 116-112 twice.

BBBofC British cruiserweight champion Viddal Riley, 13-0 (7), defeated Cheavon ‘C4’ Clarke, 10-2 (7), by a 12-round unanimous decision.

In the second through the fourth rounds, Riley had an edge. In the fifth round, Clarke came back well. In the eighth round, Clarke was cut over the left eye due to a clash of heads.

From the ninth through the twelfth, Riley’s footwork kept him a step ahead of Clarke.

Scores 115-113, 116-112, and 117-111. Lee Every was the referee.

Former WBO cruiserweight champion Chris Billam-Smith, 21-2 (13) beat Brandon ‘Bulletproof’ Glanton, 20-3 (17), #199.5, of Atlanta, GA, scoring a pair of knockdowns by a 12-round unanimous decision.

In the first two rounds, Billam-Smith was the aggressor, pushing Glanton to the ropes at times. In the third round, Glanton landed rights to the chin of Billam-Smith, taking the round.

In the sixth round, a right hook from Billam-Smith dropped Glanton for an 8-count from referee Mark Bates. Glanton claimed he slipped. In the seventh round, again, Glanton goes down, claiming he slipped. In the tenth round, Glanton kept coming forward but looked exhausted as Billam-Smith came back to take the round in a crowd-pleasing fight. Glanton needs a knockout to win.

In the eleventh and twelfth rounds, Billam-Smith had the edge in a close and exciting fight. Billam-Smith’s cut around the left eye was running down his face at the end.

The scores were 115-113, 116-112 twice. Mark Bates was the referee.
