Ronel Blanco will get the call up for the Astros, and will start today’s game against the White Sox, according to Brian McTaggart of MLB.com.
Blanco has made 2 starts at Triple-A Sugar Land since being demoted August 16. In his most recent start he was charged with 10 ER in 2.1 IP. He allowed 8 hits including 3 HR, walked 2 and struck out 5.
For his two starts combined, he has pitched 7.1 IP, allowed 12 ER on 13 hits (3 HR), walked 4 and struck out 10.
