Bill Haney drops Vegas hint for Devin Haney–Ryan Garcia rematch

Bill Haney drops Vegas hint for Devin Haney–Ryan Garcia rematch

The Devin Haney vs. Ryan Garcia rematch appears headed to Las Vegas. Bill Haney took to X on Thursday and hinted that Allegiant Stadium is the leading option to host the event on September 5.

Promoters are still finalizing the business side of the deal, but Bill said fighters often sign their portion before everything else is completed. “Fighters sign their part long before promoters finalize the terms,” he wrote, adding that Devin is already training.

The message suggests Devin has already committed to the rematch while the venue and broadcast details are still being completed. Their first fight produced one of boxing’s biggest nights in recent years, and despite Ryan’s loss to Rolando Romero in May 2025, interest in a second meeting between the two rivals remains strong.

That April 2024 fight delivered heavy drama inside the ring and huge attention outside it. Garcia knocked Haney down multiple times and won a decision that immediately set off talk of a second meeting. Fans debated the result for months afterward, and the rivalry never cooled.

Allegiant Stadium has quickly become one of boxing’s preferred locations for large events in Las Vegas. The venue can handle more than 60,000 fans and offers promoters the kind of gate revenue that makes a rivalry fight of this size worth staging in a stadium instead of a traditional arena.

A September event would also give both fighters enough time to prepare properly after busy stretches in their careers. Devin returned to the ring after the Ryan loss and remains one of the most recognizable names in the division, while Garcia continues to draw massive interest whenever he fights.

Moving the rematch to Allegiant Stadium would allow promoters to stage the event on a far larger scale than their first encounter. For Devin, the second fight represents a chance to settle unfinished business and reclaim his place at the top of the division. The signal from the Haney camp is clear: Devin is ready, and the promoters must finish the deal.
