Arsenal eyeing Madueke

Chelsea ace Noni Madueke has been linked with various Premier League clubs, including Arsenal.

According to The Telegraph, Madueke’ recent performances have drawn interest across the top flight during the summer transfer window.

The same source claims the winger is on the Gunners’ radar.

However, the North Londoners have been monitoring several different forwards during the transfer window and it is unknown at this stage how keen they are on the England international.

The 23-year-old has not been put up for sale by the Blues, who have also not offered him to other clubs but rivals believe the wideman could still be sold this summer as he is not considered untouchable in Enzo Maresca’s starting line-up.

The West Londoners have not received an approach or held talks with rivals Arsenal over Madueke but Mikel Arteta’s side is thought to be among those who have looked at his situation.

Can Arsenal sign Leao?

Arsenal continue to be linked with AC Milan star Rafael Leao as they are rigorously looking to add firepower in their attack this summer.

Milan, though, really want to hold on to Leao and if their efforts prove futile then they would never let him go on the cheap.

Reports from Italy suggest the Rossoneri want at least £68.5million for the winger.

And there’s also intense competition for the Portugal international as Bayern Munich are currently leading the race.

This is in no way an easier situation than the one the Gunners have been facing with Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams or Sporting Lisbon’s Viktor Gyokeres.

Take Your Vik

Viktor Gyokeres has told his family where he expects to play next season, according to reports.

The Sporting Lisbon striker is being looked at by both Arsenal and Manchester United this summer.

Gyokeres, 27, is certain to leave the Portuguese giants although they are “playing hardball” by demanding an £80m fee.

talkSPORT reporter Alex Crook said: “I had a message 24 hours or so ago suggesting that Viktor Gyokeres has told friends and family he expects to join Arsenal.

“We know that Manchester United are interested in signing him as well – obviously there is that pre-existing relationship with Ruben Amorim.

“But Arsenal can offer Champions League football, maybe can offer a tilt at the title next season.

“Arsenal are juggling both him and Benjamin Sesko, they’ve opened talks with Leipzig as well.

“But at the moment, I would say Gyokeres looks the more likely.”

Norgaard linked with surprise move

Brentford’s Christian Norgaard has reportedly emerged as a surprise target for Arsenal.

The Gunners are looking to further bolster their midfield options this summer following the imminent arrival of Martin Zubimendi.

Thomas Partey’s contract negotiations have stalled, and his contract runs out at the end of the month, meaning a spot in the Arsenal midfield could become available.
