After leading the Knicks to their first NBA championship in 53 years, Jalen Brunson had the honor of hosting the 52nd season premiere of “Saturday Night Live.”
The Finals MVP received a warm welcome from the home crowd at 30 Rockefeller Plaza, joked about his cold-blooded demeanor, and said he hopes his hosting duties will go like a Knicks’ game — bad for the first three quarters and spectacular for the final sketch like a fourth-quarter comeback win.
Brunson then held a “news conference” with the audience and was pestered by silly questions from Knicks teammates Karl-Anthony Towns, Mikal Bridges, OG Anunoby, and Josh Hart. Anunoby got the biggest laugh by asking the point guard about missing the last-second shot in Game 4 of the NBA Finals — which Anunoby famously tipped-in with 1.2 seconds left to pull off the miraculous 29-point comeback.
