The Atlanta Braves secured another series win after Thursday’s 6-5 defeat over the San Diego Padres. The Braves took the series 3-1, making it their second series win since returning from the All-Star Break.
Chris Sale got the start in the series finale, where he struck out 11 in six innings. He surrendered three runs, but the offense picked him up. The Atlanta lineup totaled nine hits, four of them home runs.
Up next, the Braves travel to Camden Yards for a weekend clash with the Baltimore Orioles. The series gets underway tonight at 7:05 ET.
