The champion suggested Ford’s camp has turned the fight into a team effort and views that as a sign of respect rather than intimidation.

“It was Shakur, Ray and Hitchins. He was over there. Me and him had a little back and forth the other day. But nah, definitely. They over there acting like the Avengers,” Foster said to InsideRingShow.

“They saying, ‘Why Shock worried about the sparring?’ Y’all putting it out there. You posting pictures with these guys and acting like y’all supposed to be scary or act like I’m supposed to be worried. That’s why I responded.”

“I really don’t care who he’s sparring over there. But don’t post pictures like y’all the Avengers or something because at the end of the day, when I beat you, it’s going to make it look worse on all y’all.”

O’Shaquie has repeatedly pointed to Ford’s close ties with Shakur throughout the promotion. Earlier in the interview, he claimed Stevenson and others around Ford have been offering advice because they know how dangerous he is.

“I see a lot. He got Wali, Shakur’s grandpa, everybody over there helping him trying to give him tips how to beat me. I’ve never seen nothing like it,” said O’Shaquie.

“That’s how nervous they are, and they know that I’m the truth.”

“If you need all that help and all these people feel like they got to come give you advice and tell you this and that, then that show the caliber fighter I am.”

O’Shaquie believes a victory over Ford would strengthen calls for a future fight against Shakur, a matchup he has been pursuing for months.

“After this fight, I expect the public, I expect the fans, everybody to demand the Shakur fight once we get rid of his boy.”

Ford challenges Foster for the WBC title on Saturday night in Houston. The fight headlines a DAZN card and is viewed by many fans as one of the best matchups currently available at 130 pounds.
