Asked about possible future opponents after the Bohachuk victory, Mosley Jr. made it clear he is open to whatever fight comes next.

“We got to talk about everything. I mean, I’m not afraid of anybody. I fought a whole bunch, so I’m willing to fight whoever,” Mosley Jr. said after the fight at the post-fight press conference.

“If I fight Callum, great.”

That willingness to fight anybody is what could make Mosley Jr. dangerous for the growing Zuffa Boxing setup. Unlike carefully developed prospects, Mosley Jr. already has losses and difficult fights on his record against experienced opposition. He has shared the ring with fighters like Jesus Ramos, Gabriel Rosado, Jason Quigley, and Bohachuk, and he is still pushing for bigger fights after nearly 30 professional bouts.

Mosley Jr. also made it clear he has bigger goals in mind after the biggest win of his career.

“I came here to this promotion so that I could be the first Zuffa middleweight champion,” said Mosley Jr.

“And that’s what I want to be, and that’s what I want to do.”

Middleweight Targets

If Mosley Jr. truly means he is willing to fight anybody, fans would likely welcome matchups against highly ranked middleweights like Yoenli Hernandez, Carlos Adames, Erislandy Lara, or unified champion Janibek Alimkhanuly.

A rematch with Ramos would also attract attention after Ramos defeated Mosley Jr. by unanimous decision last December.

Testing Iglesias’ Power

Another interesting possibility would be a move back to 168 pounds against unbeaten IBF super middleweight champion Osleys Iglesias. Mosley Jr. has already fought at super middleweight before, and he looked physically strong after rehydrating for the Bohachuk fight.

A matchup with Iglesias would answer questions quickly. It would be interesting to see whether Mosley Jr. could stand up to the heavy right hook and left-hand power that have turned Iglesias into one of the division’s most feared punchers.
