World No361 tennis star guaranteed life-changing amount and FIVE TIMES career earnings after French Open success

TENNIS revelation Lois Boisson is set for a life-changing payday after her miracle French Open run.

Boisson, 22, has taken the world of tennis by storm by making it to the competition’s semi-finals.

The World No361 defeated No6 Mirra Andreeva on Wednesday at Roland-Garros to make the last four.

And the £578,000 prize money she has already guaranteed is more than FIVE TIMES her career earnings.

In fact, since turning pro in 2021, Boisson has previously earned just £109,000.

Wildcard Boisson has already beaten two top-10 players with World No3 Jessica Pegula also falling in the fourth round before Andreeva.

Now the Dijon native is set to battle World No2 Coco Gauff for a place in the final.

Another upset in the semi-finals would assure her of at least £1million in earnings.

If Boisson’s incredible streak continues she will face either World No1 Aryna Sabalenka or four-time French Open champion Iga Swiatek in the final.

A £2.1MILLION prize awaits the eventual champion.

Boisson, from the land of Dijon mustard, is the first wildcard to reach the semi-finals of this tournament in the Open Era and just the third player since 1980 to make the semis at their first Major after Americans Monica Seles (1989) and Jennifer Capriati (1989).

At the start of the Roland Garros event, she was 361st in the world but will now rise steeply to at least 65.

Boisson was branded SMELLY by Brit Harriet Dart when they clashed at a low-key event in April but she is the one smelling of roses now.

She said: “I don’t think this is a miracle. I have had a little bit of luck. It’s down to hard work.

“Every kid who plays tennis, the dream is to win a Slam. For French players, it’s to win Roland Garros. I will go for the dream.

“I have tried to stay off social media while I have been playing.”
