With Justin Tucker officially released, the Ravens will turn to Tyler Loop as their new kicker.
Baltimore selected Loop in the sixth round of the NFL Draft out of Arizona after he was one of the best kickers in the nation in 2024. Loop was one of two kickers selected in the draft, with Miami’s Andres Borregales going to the Patriots four picks earlier.
While the Ravens said they picked Loop for football reasons, the NFL investigation into sexual assault allegations against Tucker was ongoing. Regardless, the former Wildcat is now set to replace the greatest kicker in franchise history.

While the Ravens certainly believed in Loop’s potential, the move came amidst an ongoing investigation into Tucker, whose future with the team was uncertain. He has been accused of inappropriate sexual behavior by 16 different massage therapists from eight different spas in the Baltimore area. The alleged incidents all occurred between 2012 and 2016, the first five seasons of Tucker’s NFL career.
Tucker did struggle on the field in 2024.
