ALEX Aljoe has quickly become a broadcasting mainstay with her fascinating interviews with some of the biggest names in the sporting world.

From presenting on Sky Sports, Amazon Prime, DAZN and many more, Aljoe has established herself as the bright young talent in tele broadcasting.

Who is sports interviewer Alex Aljoe?

Aljoe was born on October 17, 1991, in England to parents Mark and Sally Aljoe.

She attended Guildford High School, graduating in 2009, where she initially learnt Spanish and French, before pursuing higher studies at Durham University, where she continued with Spanish and picked up Italian.

The academic foundation played a major role in shaping her multilingual skills, which she has developed throughout her career.

During her year abroad at Durham, she moved to Madrid and worked with Real Madrid TV, during which time she conducted pitch-side interviews and gained firsthand experience reporting from one of the world’s biggest football clubs, and even got the chance to interview Cristiano Ronaldo.

After this experience, she was determined to pursue a career in media, and furthered her studies with a Master’s degree in Television Journalism from City, University of London, graduating with distinction.

From there, with a basis of journalism and the skills of a polyglot, Aljoe’s career flourished.

At the age of 34, Aljoe has already garnered an impressive portfolio of work, presenting regularly on the biggest nights of the Champions League with Amazon Prime and interviewing some of the biggest stars of the sport.

Despite her public career, Alex keeps her personal life private. She rarely discusses her family in interviews, preferring to let her work speak for itself

However, it was not until Aljoe interviewed Luis Diaz that she shot to public consciousness.

Aljoe artfully switched between English and Spanish during her chat with Liverpool’s Diaz, translating both her questions and his answers.

It stunned British viewers and allowed fans a different perspective of Diaz, who is normally hampered by a language barrier.

But this is not the only language she can interview in.

Aljoe is fluent in Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French as well as English.

One of her most memorable moments came during a Champions League broadcast, when she conducted a multilingual interview with Paris Saint-Germain players.

In the interview, Aljoe translated seamlessly between Portuguese, French, and English, leaving fans and fellow journalists in awe of her linguistic command, with the likes of Gabby Logan and Gary Lineker sharing her videos online.
