SEAN Dyche was confirmed as Nottingham Forest’s new manager just days after Ange Postecoglou’s brief reign came to an abrupt halt.

Who is Sean Dyche?
Sean Dyche is a football manager and former player.
He was born in Kettering, Northamptonshire on June 28, 1971.
Debuting professionally in 1990, Sean played at a centre-back for clubs including Bristol City, Luton Town, Millwall, Watford and Northampton Town.
He also captained Chesterfield and was an integral part of their notable run to the 1997 FA Cup semi-final.
After retiring from playing in 2007, Sean transitioned into coaching.
His managerial career began at Watford, where he was promoted from youth coach to manager in 2011.
Sean’s longest and most successful managerial role was at Burnley, where he moved in 2012.
His side achieved two promotions to the Premier League and secured a seventh-place finish, qualifying the Clarets for European competition for the first time since 1967.
Sean’s management style is characterised by strong defensive organisation and resilience.
He was dismissed from Burnley in 2022 and replaced by Mike Jackson due to the team’s dip in form, which left them in the relegation zone with eight fixtures of the season remaining.
Sean later managed Everton from January 2023 to January 2025, helping them avoid relegation on more than one occasion before being sacked and replaced by David Moyes amid a poor run of results and scoring drought.

Jane prefers to keep a low public profile, which is just how Sean likes it.
In 2014, he told the Lancashire Telegraph: “Jane and I knew each other as kids – not in a childhood sweetheart way.
“But she was my first big love and still is. She’s a great girl. She’s become acutely aware of what I do, but she understands the challenges I face.
“I don’t want my wife and children swamped by my life. They have their own lives and that’s very important to me.
“In my house you wouldn’t have a clue what I did. You may see a couple of football shirts or a signed programme in my son’s room, but that is it.”
While the exact date of their wedding hasn’t been reported, they have been married for over 25 years.
