NICOLAS Jarry is making waves at Wimbledon this year after booking his spot in the last-16.

The SW19 tournament is the Chilean’s favourite event on the calendar as his grandfather, Jamie Fillol, a former world No14, once brought him as a child.

Jarry’s progression to the last-16 of Wimbledon matches his grandfather’s record at the All England Club and equals his own best performance at a Grand Slam (French Open 2023).

The 29-year-old star overcame Joao Fonseca in a dramatic third round clash to set up his meeting with British favourite Cameron Norrie.

After the match, Jarry was seen celebrating with his wife and family.
