Kendrick Lamar will continue his strong week when he performs at the Super Bowl halftime show on Sunday. The rapper is fresh off winning five Grammy Awards and will now perform in front of over 100 million people during the game.
Lamar will surely have company during his performance, with DJ Mustard a strong possibility to appear at some point. The record producer has helped produce several of Lamar’s biggest hits, including arguably the biggest song of the past year.

Who is DJ Mustard?
DJ Mustard, whose real name is Dijon Isaiah McFarlane and goes by just “Mustard,” is a 34-year-old hip-hop record producer based in Los Angeles. Of course, he chose his DJ name because his real name, Dijon, is a type of mustard.
Mustard has released four studio albums on his own accord, but he’s worked with many big-name rappers and hip-hop artists to produce several hit songs in his career.
Among Mustard’s biggest produced songs are “Rack City” by Tyga and “Needed Me” by Rihanna. However, his biggest song was “Not Like Us” with Kendrick Lamar, which blew up last year and is coming off five different Grammy wins.

Kendrick Lamar-Mustard song
DJ Mustard helped Kendrick Lamar produce the song “Not Like Us,” which was a huge hit. Lamar wrote the song as a Drake diss track, and the song reached No. 1 in the United States and won big at the Grammys in 2025, winning both Record of the Year and Song of the Year.
At the Grammys, Mustard celebrated the song’s success by asking to “get the broom out.”
