The New York Giants find themselves in a tight race for the No. 1 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
With three games remaining in the regular season, the Giants have upcoming matchups against the Atlanta Falcons (7-7), Indianapolis Colts (6-8) and Philadelphia Eagles (12-2).
The Giants aren’t favored in any of those games, although the regular-season finale could be interesting considering the likelihood the Eagles rest their starters.
Entering Week 16, the race for the No. 1 pick is between two teams: the Giants and the Las Vegas Raiders.
With that said, five other teams are just one game behind the Giants, which means an unlikely win would shake up the draft order immensely.
As the final month of the regular season arrives, here’s a look at the updated NFL draft order, according to Tankathon.
2025 NFL Draft order
- Las Vegas Raiders (2-12)
- New York Giants (2-12)
- New England Patriots (3-11)
- Jacksonville Jaguars (3-11)

- Pittsburgh Steelers (10-4)
- Green Bay Packers (10-4)
- Minnesota Vikings (12-2)
- Buffalo Bills (11-3)
- Philadelphia Eagles (12-2)
- Detroit Lions (12-2)
- Kansas City Chiefs (13-1)
The Giants still have a very strong shot at landing the No. 1 pick for the first time in franchise history since the merger.
The Raiders have upcoming matchups against the Jaguars (3-11), Saints (5-9) and Chargers (8-6). If the Giants lose out, and the Raiders win one of those games, they would lock up the No. 1 overall pick.
Whether the current regime would stick around after “earning” the No. 1 pick during the third season they’ve been in charge remains to be seen, but the Giants are shaping up to be one of the key teams in the draft.
