Gabriel Landeskog hasn’t suited up for the Colorado Avalanche since the 2022 playoffs.
His return is loading soon.
There was some hope he’d be back for Game 2 against the Dallas Stars in the first round of the playoffs, but the Avalanche captain has to wait a little bit longer.
Here’s what we know.
When will Gabriel Landeskog be back?
Gabriel Landeskog will likely return at some point in the Colorado Avalanche’s first-round NHL playoff series against the Dallas Stars.
He has missed Games 1 and 2.
Landeskog did go through warmups for the second game, so he’s getting close.

Why is Gabriel Landeskog out?
Gabriel Landeskog has been out because of a chronic right knee injury that needed multiple surgeries.
He did go on a two-game rehab assignment to the AHL before the playoffs began to get some game action in.
The Avalanche activated Landeskog from injured reserve on Monday and then made him a Game 2 scratch, so his time is near.
The knee that was initially hurt in 2020 and eventually begun being repaired in 2022 is finally well enough to allow Landeskog to make his return.
The Avalanche and their fans certainly can’t wait.
