Bye weeks are done, so NFL fans can enjoy a full 16-game slate each week for the remainder of the regular season.
As the season winds down, the schedule can get a bit wonky. This week features a doubleheader on Monday Night Football. The struggling Bears visit the Vikings for the first matchup of the night.
Chicago has lost seven straight and is playing its third straight road game. The team’s strong 4-2 start has spiraled out of control as it heads into Week 15 with a 4-9 record. The Vikings are total opposites on a six-game win streak and 11-2 on the season. It’s fairly surprising, but the Vikings have proven to be one of the NFC’s top squads.
For the second matchup, the Falcons visit the Raiders. Las Vegas is miserable, posting a 2-11 record featuring a nine-game losing streak. Quarterback troubles have been an issue that became even more apparent after Gardner Minshew’s injury. It’s a race for the No. 1 pick in Las Vegas now.
The Falcons aren’t that impressive, but they are far better than the Raiders at 6-7. Atlanta is still in the playoff hunt since the Buccaneers only lead the division by one game. It’s not the season they’d hoped for after signing Kirk Cousins, but it doesn’t have to be a complete wash if they reach the postseason.
The Sporting News has all the details for Monday Night Football’s doubleheader.
