The Hammers were inspired in the first half as Jarrod Bowen had fired them into the lead before Cryscencio Summerville hit a second.

Chelsea‘s left side of Alejandro Garnacho, Jorrel Hato and Benoit Badiashile had been outclassed by a combination of Bowen and Aaron Wan-Bissaka.

And as the shell-shocked Blues walked off for the break, the home crowd let them and boss Liam Rosenior know their disappointment.

Stamford Bridge was filled with loud boos from the home support who had expected much better from the Club World Cup winners.

In fact, it seemed on goalkeeper Sanchez remained confident his side could still get something out of the game.

Video taken pitchside caught the Spaniard screaming at the fans who were booing the team.

He could be heard yelling: “Support your side.

“We got 45 minutes to go, it is never done.”

And the Chelsea stopper was right to believe as they would pull off some club history at Stamford Bridge.

Three goals without reply from Joao Pedro, Marc Cucurella and Enzo Fernandez handed the hosts the turnaround win.

It was the first time in the history of the Premier League that the Blues have come from two goals down at half-time to win a game.

Speaking after the game, goalscorer Cucurella was adamant that the team’s mentality showed them they still had a chance.

He told Sky Sports: At half-time we speak, in the end its about our mentality and desire we showed in the second half, we are very happy.

Chelsea ratings vs West Ham: Pedro is Blues’ saviour off bench again but hooked Garnacho is woeful

JOAO PEDRO came off the bench to inspire a stunning 3-2 comeback win for Chelsea against West Ham.

The striker found himself on the bench despite scoring twice in the Blues’ Champions League victory at Napoli earlier this week.

But he turned the game on its head when he was introduced at the break, after Jarrod Bowen and Crysencio Summerville had given West Ham a two-goal advantage.

Pedro got the comeback up and running before fellow sub Marc Cucurella levelled matters.

Pedro then set up Enzo Fernandez for a dramatic stoppage time winner to leave West Ham, who ended the contest with ten men after Jean-Clair Todibo’s red card, empty-handed.

SunSport’s Jack Rosser has given his ratings of the Blues players…

“[Liam Rosenior] said it’s about us, if we go to press, want the ball, play with confidence, we will get the chances to win.

“We have very good players, a very good team, since the start of the second half we showed a lot of energy and desire.

“If we play with this energy we are able to win at lot of games.”

The match ended in a brawl between the two teams as tempers flared over.

In the clash, Jean-Clair Tobibo saw red for violent conduct after grabbing Pedro by the throat.
