The Panthers have turned the series around thanks to back-to-back wins in Games 3 and 4.

What once was a 2-0 lead for the Maple Leafs is now a 2-2 series heading into Game 5 in Toronto. Florida shut out the Maple Leafs 2-0 in Game 4 to even the series.

Carter Verhaeghe and Sam Bennett each scored one goal in the Game 4 victory as Sergei Bobrovsky saved all 23 shots on goal.

Toronto couldn’t get much going despite winning 33 of 52 face-offs. The team had just 23 shots and three power play opportunities, while Florida had 37 shots and six power plays.

The Panthers capitalized on the man-advantage as Verhaeghe scored a first-period goal. The second goal didn’t come until midway through the third period.

Toronto will have home ice advantage for Game 5 as it looks to avoid a 3-2 deficit heading back to Florida. The franchise is still seeking its first conference finals appearance since 2002.
