The Eastern Conference-leading Leafs take on the reigning-champion Panthers in Game 2 of their second-round series on Wednesday. Toronto eked out a 5-4 victory on Monday, despite a late surge by Florida. It was an early indicator that this series will be a doozy.

William Nylander played the role of hero in Game 1, logging two goals and an assist. It was an all-out duel, though, with four different players on each team scoring at least one goal. The Panthers are now -130 to win Game 2, while the Leafs are +110 — practically a coin-flip.

Many believe the Leafs might finally be making their move toward the Stanley Cup after nine consecutive early exits from the postseason. But don’t count out the defending champs just yet — this is still one of the most formidable teams in the NHL. The winner of this series could very well go on to win it all.
