MANCHESTER UNITED manager Ruben Amorim was asked by a fan if he will sign Paris Saint-Germain star Gianluigi Donnarumma.

United have been very busy during the summer transfer window and completed some major signings in Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko.

A new midfielder appears to be United’s priority with Brighton ace Carlos Baleba targeted.

But Andre Onana’s inconsistent performances between the sticks over the last two years has hinted that a new goalkeeper may also be needed.

The Red Devils have been linked with Donnarumma, 26, after PSG landed Lucas Chevalier from Lille.

Amorim, 40, was asked about those links by a fan outside Old Trafford when he was signing autographs.

The United supporter asked: “Hey Ruben, who are we signing? Are we getting Donnarumma?”

Amorim asked: “Sorry?”

The fan responded: “Are we getting Donnarumma?”

Amorim remained coy as he laughed cheekily and just focused on signing autographs.

With the summer transfer window approaching its deadline, it seems like United will focus on a new midfielder.

A new goalkeeper may only depend on whether Onana leaves this summer.

And it so far looks unlikely that the Cameroon international will seek a new club.

Donnarumma played an important role in PSG’s treble triumph last season.
