DIEGO COSTA was branded “not real” after footage of him flattening a Chelsea Women’s legend in training before the Blues’ charity match with Liverpool emerged.

Chelsea and Liverpool legends clashed at Stamford Bridge last weekend, with the Reds’ Ryan Babel scoring a decisive late winner for the visitors.

However, previously unseen footage from the Chelsea icons in training has gone viral as football bad-boy Costa was seen sending Gemma Davison flying as they both ran for a ball.

The 37-year-old was seen bowling over Davison as she tried to knock the ball down the wing and past him as he defended.

John Terry was seen in the video jokingly calling for a yellow card for the Spanish ace, something he was very familiar with during his days in London with 30 yellow cards in 120 games on his record.

Speaking after training footage of Costa in the video posted to his new TikTok page – only the second clip on the page which has already gained almost 17,000 followers – Terry said: “That’s Diego in a nutshell.

“He just doesn’t give a s***.

“The ball goes down the channel, and Gem is shielding it a little bit, and he comes running over and just goes BOSH.”

Terry, 44, then revealed Davison’s response to the foul.

He said: “Gem’s a legend as well. What a player Gemma was.

“I sat next to her at lunch after and she was like, ‘I love all stuff like that’.”

Costa and Davison, 38, were all smiles and shared a hug when she was back on her feet.

Reacting on social media, fans were left in hysterics over Costa’s brutal move.

One fan said: “Diego Costa is not real.”

A second said: “I’m convinced he was created in a lab where they mixed pure chaos with goal instincts.”

A third said: “Some things never change. Diego Costa, for example.”

On his TikTok page, Terry also added: “Don’t ever change Diego.”

Both players were lethal forwards for the Blues and won two league titles each.

Costa fired Chelsea to titles under Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte in 2014/15 and 2016/17, finishing with 20 league goals in both seasons.

Meanwhile, Davison, who also played for Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham in her career, won her titles under Emma Hayes in 2015 and 2017/18.

Costa also showed his fire during the game as he squared off with an old adversary in Martin Skrtel.
