MANCHESTER UNITED fan Frank Ilett has spent almost 500 days without a haircut after pledging not to get his locks cut until United won five games in a row.
After the Red Devils made it four wins on the bounce with a 2-0 win over Tottenham, Ilett is now on the cusp of a much-needed trim.
With the scissors in sight, the Man United fan has broken his silence with the light now at the end of the tunnel.
“Carrick is at the wheel, this hair is going soon, West Ham next, four out of five done – this is the first time it’s been four in a row since I started the challenge.
“This time it’s happening! Thank you so much to Carrick – thank you, thank you, thank you.
“There will be a watchalong for the fifth game against West Ham. Some exciting plans coming up – more details to come.”

Frank has been a viral sensation the more his hair has grown and his turmoil has not gone unnoticed by the Man United players.
A source told SunSport: “The players are really enjoying their recent upturn in fortune and the vibe at the training ground is very positive.
“They are well aware of Frank because he pops up on their social media.
“Some of them were having a laugh and a joke and said: ‘Come on, let’s give this guy a haircut’.”
Frank started his journey on 5 October 2024 when Erik ten Hag was still in charge.
The goal was simple – he would only cut his hair when Man United win five games in a row.
The Man United superfan, who was born in Oxford but lives in Spain, saw the Dutchman sacked just days later and then an entire reign of Ruben Amorim fail where the best he managed was three wins in a row, and that only happened once.
If and when he does finally have his haircut, Frank will donate his hair to the Little Princess Trust, a UK charity providing wigs to children who have lost their hair due to illness.
