MICKY VAN DE VEN powered home two headers as Tottenham got back to winning ways.
Spurs jump back up to third place as Everton had no response to the two first-half goals.
However they will consider themselves unfortunate not to have equalised when Jake O’Brien headed in after Van de Ven’s opener.
The goal was chalked off as Iliman N’Diaye was judged to have interfered with goalkeeper Gugliemo Vicario from an offside position.
Vicario then came to the rescue with a string of superb saves after the break.
And Spurs added insult to injury late on as Pape Matar Sarr scored his first goal for the club.
