Under Armour Golf has unveiled its new Golf Footwear Performance Centre at Stoke Park, Buckinghamshire, offering a ‘Footwear Optimisation Process’ that promises to match golfers with their ideal shoes for maximum performance.
The custom-fitting service combines BiomecaForce AI-driven force plates, Launch Monitor data, and SIDAS Podiatech foot analysis to assess swing mechanics, foot anatomy, and force generation.
Players receive tailored recommendations from the brand’s Drive Pro Series, complete with on-site built custom insoles.
At the launch on July 29, Under Armour EMEA Managing Director Kevin Ross called it “the most advanced athlete performance tracking technology in golf.”
DP World Tour rising star Rasmus Neergaard-Petersen tested the system, gaining 2.5mph in clubhead speed and a 5% increase in peak vertical force.
Neergaard-Petersen said: “The whole process has been eye-opening and has led to some crucial gains for me, including an increase of peak vertical force of 5%.
“The level of feedback is incredible and should make a lot of golfers think about how beneficial shoe optimisation can be.”
Each two-hour session costs £500 and includes bio-mechanical testing, a pair of Drive Pro shoes, and custom insoles.
Bookings can be made through Head of Footwear Optimisation Chris Murtagh at Stoke Park at [email protected]
