Unbeaten Diego Pacheco Takes On KO Machine Sadjo in Stockton Saturday

Diego Pacheco (24-0, 18 KOs) faces Kevin Lele Sadjo (26-0, 23 KOs) this Saturday, December 13th, in the 12-round main event at the Stockton Arena, Stockton.

Pacheco vs. Sadjo is a Matchroom-promoted card on DAZN. The WBC Silver and WBO International super middleweight titles will be at stake. A lot is at stake for both unbeaten contenders, as they need a win to push them up the rankings and get in position for a title shot.

The event will be shown live on DAZN beginning at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT.

Despite winning twice in 2025, the 24-year-old Pacheco has slipped down in the rankings, replaced by Canelo Alvarez and Hamzah Sheeraz. Some see that as more political. Canelo is coming off a loss, so he shouldn’t be ranked #1 by the WBA, WBC, and WBO. Sheeraz has only fought once at 168 against Edgar Berlanga. Need I say more?

Co-Main: Flores Jr. vs Cordina

In the co-feature on the card, Stockton native Gabriel Flores Jr. (27-2, 8 KOs) faces former IBF super featherweight champion Joe Cordina (18-1, 9 KOs) in a 12-round bout for the WBO International 135-lb title.

Flores has won his last six fights in a long rebuild job after losing to Giovanni Cabrera by a one-sided 10-round unanimous decision in July 2022. The former amateur star Flores hasn’t looked the same since losing to Luis Alberto Lopez by a 10-round unanimous decision in September 2021. Now 25, Flores’s rebuild is unlikely to fix the flaws in his game. He lacks the power and the chin to be a top-level fighter at 135.

This fight arguably doesn’t belong in the chief support spot. The 34-year-old Cordina was knocked out in the eighth round by Anthony Cacaces in May 2024, and he’d only fought once since then, beating little-known Jaret Gonzalez Quiroz by a 10-round unanimous decision last July. He didn’t look good against Quiroz.

The one-hit wonder, Cordina, hasn’t done enough at 135 for him to be considered chief support material, and he’s not young, nearing 35.

Mercado-Moran Sleeper Fight

What many fans view as the gem on Saturday’s card is light welterweight contender Ernesto Mercado (17-0, 16 KOs), who is facing Antonio Moran (31-7-1, 21 KOs).

The 24-year-old Mercado is coming off an 11-month layoff since knocking out former two-division world champion Jose Pedraza in the fourth round in January 2025. If Mercado had been busier, he’d likely be the co-feature, as he’s arguably the most talented fighter on this card by far in Ken Woods’ eyes.

  • Diego Pacheco vs. Kevin Lele Sadjo
  • Gabriel Flores Jr. vs. Joe Cordina
  • Ernesto “Tito” Mercado vs. Antonio Moran
  • Skye Nicolson vs. Yuliahn Luna
  • Arturo Cardenas vs. Cesar Vaca
