Turki Alalshikh’s Heated Response Regarding Canelo-Crawford Event Timing

Turki Alalshikh’s Heated Response Regarding Canelo-Crawford Event Timing

Turki Alalshikh confirmed today during the kickoff press conference that the Canelo Alvarez vs. Terence Crawford event will be in the evening, not during the day, on September 13th. Alalshikh dismissed promoter Oscar De La Hoya’s claim that the Canelo-Crawford fight would be during the day as a “waste of time.”

Turki’s Heated Response: Fight Timing

Ideally, it would have been better if the timing of the event had been revealed last week rather than waiting until the kickoff press conference. Turki looked heated when asked this question. However, fans wanted to hear if it were true, as the event’s time had still not been revealed.

The undercard has also not been announced, and the names mentioned have led to considerable criticism. Fans want to know now so they can purchase plane tickets and plan. They’re unable to do that if they don’t know when the event starts.

What we know is that the Canelo vs. Crawford event will be shown live on Netflix on September 13th at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas. The undercard details are sketchy, and many of the names mentioned have been criticized by fans.

Mike Coppinger: “There has been some social media speculation about when this fight. So, when will it be?”

Turki Alalshikh: “Who is asking about the time and the place? Can you be specific?”

Coppinger: “Oscar De La Hoya said the fight was maybe going to take place during the daytime.”

Alalshikh Addresses Event Details

Turki: “Yeah, this is what I want from you to say his name. Yeah, I decided with Dana White to have breakfast at the MGM at 10:00 A.M. Then we will go to the arena [Allegiant Stadium] to have the fights quick, and then after that we will go to the dinner.

“And during the night, we will watch Conjuring because it will launch in September. Oscar De La Hoya wastes my time with this question. Of course, it is in the peak [hours]. This is the boxing. It’s the sport #1 in the world. This is Canelo and Crawford.”
