Trump International Scotland unveils luxury Great North Sea Residences

Paul McGinley and Bo Van Pelt have helped celebrate the opening of a new collection of luxury residences at Trump International, Scotland, overlooking the resort’s two championship courses.

Trump International, Scotland has unveiled its new Great North Sea Residences, a collection of five luxury properties created from a transformed 19th-century Coastguard Station on the dramatic Aberdeenshire coastline.

The residences sit overlooking the resort’s award-winning championship courses and offer panoramic views, private terraces, a residents’ putting green and access to five-star hotel and concierge services.

The launch comes during a significant week for the resort, which is currently hosting the Legends Tour Staysure Seniors PGA Championship on its acclaimed New Course.

Former Ryder Cup captain Paul McGinley was among the golfing legends to praise the development.

“Any visitor – be they golfers or not – will be thrilled to stay in such luxurious residences,” said McGinley. “They have brought a whole new dimension to the accommodation at the resort.”

Defending Staysure Seniors PGA champion Bo Van Pelt was equally impressed, particularly with the appeal to international visitors.

“Visitors from the United States and indeed from around the world will be hugely impressed by these fabulous residences which really do offer a luxurious home from home to anyone staying in them,” he said.

The five properties have been designed to combine the character of their historic setting with modern luxury. Built in Belhelvie Blue granite, the residences feature cast-iron log-burning stoves, bespoke joinery, coastal-inspired interiors and sumptuous furnishings, while retaining the architectural character of the original buildings.

The development is part of a wider period of investment at Trump International, Scotland, with the New Course hosting its first professional tournament this week alongside the opening of a new state-of-the-art short-game area set among the coastal dunes.

Sarah Malone, Executive Vice President of Trump International, Scotland, said the combination of the new accommodation, tournament golf and practice facilities marked an important moment for the resort.

“We are delighted that legends of the game of golf are celebrating with us the opening of these marvellous residences,” said Malone.

“Each dwelling is a celebration of craftsmanship, coastal grandeur, and warm hospitality. They offer an experience of rare and enduring luxury.”

The residences are available to golfers as well as families and other groups, with four able to accommodate up to five guests and the fifth sleeping up to three.

They are available for both short and long stays, with packages starting from £1,500 per night.

With the New Course now hosting professional tournament golf and the new short-game facility adding to the resort’s practice offering, the Great North Sea Residences form part of an increasingly comprehensive golf and luxury hospitality experience on Scotland’s north-east coast.
