Eze to START in Palace’s Conference League clash
Eberechi Eze will be in the starting XI for Crystal Palace’s Conference League against Fredrikstad, manager Oliver Glasner has confirmed.
The Austrian said: “The player gives 100 per cent because he is under contract.
“We don’t have to say thank you every day, he is getting a few pounds every week.
“Many of you were surprised he and Marc started against Chelsea, most of you will be surprised that they will start again tomorrow, but they are committed to the team.
“They will play a crucial part as long as they are here they are committed to the team.
“If they leave, they want to leave as the guys who gave 100 per cent to Crystal Palace.”
Shearer BLASTS Isak agent
Newcastle United legend Alan Shearer has claimed Alexander Isak should give his agent the boot for the advice he’s given him in recent weeks.
The Toon legend told Betfair: “Oh my God, what a f***ing mess his agent has made of this. Honestly.
“If I was him, I’d get his agent in a room and sack him on the spot immediately, because he is meant to be giving him the advice to sign that six‑year deal and there’s no get‑out clause.
“I mean, it’s ridiculous. And to take anyone’s word in football… it’s nonsensical to say that someone said, “Oh, I’ll be able to get out at the end of the season.”
“Really? I mean, come on.”
Forest strike Luiz agreement
Nottingham Forest have agreed a deal to sign Douglas Luis from Juventus.
Luiz, 28, will join the Tricky Trees on loan for the duration of the season, just over a year after his £43million move to the Italian giants from Aston Villa.
An obligation-to-buy clause has been included in the deal and will be activated depending on the number of games the Brazil international plays for the Midlands club.
Forest will maintain the option to buy the Brazil international for a fee of £26m if he doesn’t reach the number of games required to activate the clause.
Inter eye Guehi
Inter Milan are weighing up an audacious swoop for Crystal Palace’s Marc Guehi, it’s been claimed.
Defending Premier League champions Liverpool are eager on signing Palace’s skipper.
But CaughtOffside claim the Serie A side is currently in the process of trying to hijack the Reds’ move for the England international.
They claim the Italians are trying to convince Guehi to run down his contract so he can move to the San Siro on a free transfer next summer.
