Villa on Red alert for new hitman
Aston Villa are set to sign young Feyenoord striker Zepiqueno Redmond on a free transfer.
Unai Emery hopesthe 18-year-old Dutch youth international will become as successful as Jhon Duran – the last teenage striker he signed.
Duran cost Villa £14.5million from Chicago Fire in January 2023.
And the Villans made a cool £50million profit when they sold him to Saudi giants Al-Nassr two years later.
Redmond’s contract with Feyenoord expires at the end of June and Villa have beaten off interest from several clubs in the Premier League and across Europe.
But the kid who can play as a striker or on the wing is poised to join Villa on a four-year deal.
Prem target in huge demand
Regular Prem target Jonathan David is again at the centre of a transfer scramble.
Manchester United, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham Newcastle and West Ham have all been linked with the Lille striker in recent weeks.
The Canadian, 25, has confirmed he’ll be leaving his Ligue 1 club on a free transfer this summer.
Inter Milan and Juventus have been mentioned over possible moves for the pacy attacker.
But it’s claimed Napoli are now the clear frontrunners.
The newly-crowned Italian champions are reportedly in talks with David and confident of agreeing a deal soon.
Celtic hitman ‘completes Hammers medical’
Celtic’s Daniel Cummings has reportedly completed a medical at West Ham.
Sky Sports say the Scotland Under-19 striker will switch to the Prem club on a four-year contract.
The Hoops’ academy product, 19, hit 23 goals in 28 Scottish Lowland Football League games for Celtic B.
Chelsea unveil plan for Sancho deal
Chelsea have asked Jadon Sancho to agree to a new contract before completing a £25million transfer, according to reports.
The England international, 25, spent the 2024-25 season on loan at Stamford Bridge from Old Trafford.
Chelsea have a £25m obligation to buy Sancho in the summer transfer window.
However, they do have a £5m penalty clause to break out of the deal and escape the obligation.
Now Sky Sports News are reporting that the Blues are in negotiations with the winger’s representatives over his future.
Chelsea most likely want Sancho to stay in West London. However, Sky claim they will only sign him if he agrees to fit into the wage structure at the club.
Sancho earns a whopping £350,000 per week at United, where he has one year left on his current deal.
But part of the Todd Boehly regime is signing players on relatively low wages. Star-man Cole Palmer is on £130,000 per week.
