Pacquiao vs. Father Time Boxing
The 46-year-old Pacquiao (62-8-2, 39 KOs) is getting an unheard-of straight title shot after four years of being retired. He lost his last fight against Yordenis Ugas in 2021, and looked shot, slow, and not as mobile as he’d been in the past. He blamed the loss on leg cramps, yet he still retired rather than ask for a rematch.
Pacquiao will need to use the high-energy, volume punching style that he was known for in the last to defeat the younger fighter Barrios (29-2-1, 18 KOs). It doesn’t look likely that Manny will be able to sustain a fast enough pace and throw enough shots for him to defeat the 30-year-old Barrios tonight.
Pacquiao-Barrios Fight Card Details

- Isaac Cruz vs. Omar Salcido

- Gary Russell Jr. vs. Hugo Castañeda
- David Picasso vs. Kyonosuke Kameda

The fight that many younger fans are more interested in on this card is the rematch between WBC junior middleweight champion Sebastian Fundora (22-1-1, 14 KOs) and former WBO champ Tim Tszyu (25-2, 18 KOs). Tszyu is still salty about his 12-round split decision loss to Fundora last year, upset about the defeat, and continuing to blame it on the cut that he suffered early in the bout.
Fundora, 6’6″, views Tszyu as a complainer, unable to confront the truth about what happened last year. He also believes Tim is suffering from PTSD, still struggling mentally from what occurred in their fight.
