Tonight’s Live Results: Garcia vs. Rolly, Haney vs. Ramirez & Teofimo vs. Barboza Jr – From New York

In the Fatal Fury event at Times Square, Ryan Garcia’s chin will be tested by big puncher Rolando ‘Rolly’ Romero tonight in their fight on DAZN PPV. Romero (16-2, 13 KOs) looked in the best condition ever at yesterday’s weigh-in at Times Square in New York City. In the co-feature, Devin Haney will be coming out of hibernation mode to battle Jose Ramirez in what some see as a 50-50 fight. Teofimo Lopez defends his WBO 140-lb title against Arnold Barboza Jr.

The Fatal Fury Times Square event starts tonight at 5:30 pm ET / 2:30 pm PT and is priced at $59.99. The ring walks for the Garcia vs. Rolly fight are at approximately 9:00 pm ET / 6:00 pm PT. 2 am UK time

Although Kingry is listed as a heavy favorite, his upright fighting style is made to order for Rolly’s fighting style. Neither of these guys is a boxer.  In their sparring footage, we saw Romero batter Garcia (24-1, 20 KOs) with clubbing shots. He used his strength to push Ryan back up against the ropes to nail him with nonstop heavy shots. Rolly

Devin’s vulnerability to left hooks could be a big problem tonight against the former unified 140-lb champion Ramirez (29-2, 18 KOs). That’s a punch that Ramirez throws quite well, and he possesses power. He could lose tonight if Haney hasn’t figured out how to block the left hooks. That would mess up his vision of a rematch with Ryan Garcia to get that big payday in October.

Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs) could be out of his depth with Barboza’s technical skills. Barboza Jr.’s jab, movement, and accuracy (32-0, 11 KOs) will be obstacles for Teofimo to win. Barboza Jr. will try to make it a boring fight by boxing and staying away from Lopez’s power. This could be the least entertaining of the fights on tonight’s card.
