Tim Bradley warns Brian Norman Jr. could get dropped by Devin Haney if he keeps lunging in like he did vs. Quinton Randall

Tim Bradley warns Brian Norman Jr. could get dropped by Devin Haney if he keeps lunging in like he did vs. Quinton Randall

Tim Bradley says Devin Haney will capitilize on Brian Norman Jr.’s bad habits and drop him on November 22nd in their fight in Riyady. Eagle-eyes Tim sees vulnerability in the 24-year-old Norman Jr. that Devin, with his high ring IQ, will have spotted by now and trained for.

The Lunging Problem

Bradley studied Norman’s past fights against Jin Sasaki and Quinton Rank. He saw a lot of “reaching and lunching” from him that caused him to take shots against fighters with less skills than Haney (32-0, 16 KOs).

Tim saw flaws in Norman’s game that he believes Devin will capitize on to drop him. That’s assuming that he’s sitting down on his shots. Haney wasn’t throwing with power in his last fight against Jose Ramirez on May 2, 2025.

Norman Jr. (28-0, 22 KOs) will defend his WBO welterweight title against Haney in the chief support on DAZN PPV at the ANB Arena in Riyadh. The PPV price is $59.99 for U.S fans and £24.99 in the UK.

“All that reaching and lunging is going to get you caught,” said Tim Bradley on his channel discussing the posisbility of Brian Norman Jr. getting caught with a shot against Devin Haney by being sloppy.

Randall Fight Red Flags

Tim specifficially mentioned Norman’s fight against Quinton Randall on November 16, 2023. Brian Jr. was just 22 at the time, and struggled with all the holding that Randall was doing. It was a younger version of Norman Jr, and not as powerful-looking as he’s looked lately.

Still, the shots that Norman Jr. was hitting the then 33-year-old Randall with would give Haney a lot of problems. They looked every bit as powerful as the left hooks that Ryan Garcia was dropping Haney with in their fight in April 2024.

“You got that lead hand down when you’re jabbing. They’re [Devin] planning for that. Haney is coming with a right hand right over the top of that. He’s going to meet you. He’s going to have a check hook waiting for you, and he’s going to put you on your backside. Haney has skills, IQ and I know he sees this stuff,” said Bradley.

Tom Galm Viewpoint: Overhyped Fear

That’s a bit too fanciful of a take by Bradley with his prediction of a knockdown of Norman. Devin looked too frightened deer against ramirez, too frozen in fear to sit down on any of his shots last May. Even when he did get comfortable to put some power in his shots late in the fight, he didn’t look like he had any pop in his punches. Haney was shooting blanks.
