Teofimo Lopez took to social media to order IBF light welterweight champion Richardson Hitchins to sign the contract he sent to him after the talented Brooklyn, New York native rejected the offer he’d sent to him.

Hitchins (19-0, 7 KOs) told WBO belt holder Teofimo (21-1, 13 KOs) to “send the right numbers” after receiving what he felt was a lowball offer from him. Lopez, 27, is not having it, and he is telling him to take the offer as sent. He sounds like he thinks he’s Richarson’s boss.

Another Missed Opportunity?

This is what I was afraid of. Teofimio is pricing himself out just like he did in fights that failed to happen against Devin Haney, Ryan Garcia, and many others.

Teofimo needs this fight because this is one of the three for his contract with Turki. The other two are against Jaron ‘Boots’ Ennis in October and the Ryan Garcia vs. Devin Haney 2 rematch loser in February 2026. The chances are high that Teofimo’s record will be 0-3 after he completes his contract with Turki next year.

Living Off of Past Glory

The problem is Lopez thinks he’s a star, but he’s not. He’s a one-hit wonder whose career has been in a freefall since his one big victory five years ago against Vasily Lomachenko in 2020. If not for Top Rank keeping Teofimo’s head above water, he’d be on the junk pile now with five or six losses in the last five years because he’s not the fighter that many had thought.

He’s been living off that one big win over Loma all these years and beaten no one since other than an over-the-hill British fighter Josh Taylor.

Teofimo’s Tantrum

“What kind of b**** s*** is that? I’m going to tell you like this, bro. You’re either going to fight me because you said you’re going to be at me, or you won’t fight me at all, you punch b****,” said Teofimo Lopez on X talking to IBF light welterweight champion Richardson Hitchins to sign the contract he sent him.

“How are you going to go and talk all this madness about me and how you’re going to box me and beat the bricks off me? Man, I fought [Vasily] Lomachenko for $1.3 million. I whooped that a**. Yeah, the same applies to Josh Taylor. I whooped that a**.

“The same applies to Richard Commey, the IBF world champion for $800K. I whooped that a**. What are you talking about, talking about, ‘Send the contract with the right numbers.’ Shut that s*** up,man,” said Teofimo.

“You’re just a p****,” said Teofimo Lopez Sr., piping in with his two cents to Hitchins.

He sounds like he’s off his rocker and doesn’t understand that his career will be over by early 2026 after he goes 0-3 with Turki Al-Sheikh’s three-fight contract.
