Teofimo Lopez took to social media to volunteer to fight an exhibition match on November 14th, Jake Paul vs. Gervonta Davis card on Netflix at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia.
Lopez Volunteers for Netflix Card
WBO lightweight champion Lopez (22-1, 13 KOs) tagged Jake Paul’s promotional company, Most Valuable Promotions, Netflix, and the State Farm Arena. For Lopez to fight an exhibition match to get the kind of big money Gervonta and Paul would be getting, he would need to face someone entirely out of his depth, size-wise and power-wise.
It won’t be a value-add for MVP Promotions to include Teofimo on the card in an exhibition if he’s going to fight a ham-and-egger, wearing 14-oz gloves, headgear with no knockdown rules. It’s got to be someone that would take his head off in a real fight, like middleweight champion Janibek Alimkhunly or light heavyweight David Morrell.
Fans on X are reacting negatively to Lopez, 28, volunteering to take part in an exhibition match. The users are saying that this is just another way for Lopez to duck WBC lightweight champion Shakur Stevenson.

The popular three-division champion Stevenson has been pushing hard on social media for a fight against Teofimo. He’s repeatedly told his followers that he’s waiting for Teo.
Why Not a Real Fight?
Fans want to see Lopez involved in important fights against serious boxers, not necessarily Shakur. Many fans wish for Teofimo to fight the entertaining boxers. Stevenson fits more in the dull Arnold Barboza Jr. category, not the entertaining one that fans want to see Lopez fight. They want Teo to fight these boxers:
