Travis Kelce made it known early in the offseason that he planned to return to the Kansas City Chiefs next season. After putting together arguably the best career for any tight end in NFL history, Kelce didn’t want to go out after a down year for the future Hall of Famer.

His performance in the Super Bowl wasn’t typical. Kelce was seen moving around differently and looked out of it at times.

Kelce has been a star for a very long time, but has been in the light even more recently due to his relationship with Taylor Swift.

Swift, often seen at nearly every Chiefs game, fully supports Kelce and his dreams.

According to Eileen Reslen of Page Six, Swift wants him to leave “on a high note” and didn’t want the multi-time Super Bowl champion to retire.

“She didn’t want Travis to retire,” an insider said. “She wanted him to go out on a high note.”

While that’s ultimately Kelce’s decision, it sounds like Swift had an impact on his thought process, which is a good thing to see.

He’s ready to get back on the field, help the Chiefs reach the top, and go out with a bang next season.

“Gonna try and get to the best shape I’ve been this offseason and get back to the mountaintop. Got a real bad taste in my mouth with how I played in that last game and how I got the guys ready for battle. I can’t go out like that!!!!”
