Terence Crawford claims he has a better resume than Gervont Davis and that he couldn’t “even tie my shoestrings” with the names he has on his twelve-year career. The two fighters have been trading trash talk lately, and Crawford (41-0, 31 KOs) is still at it, trying to artificially inflate himself in the eyes of the fans.
Crawford really needs four or five solid wins at 154, 160, and 168 against the top guys to put himself above Tank Davis’ resume. He’s only fought once at 154 and looked terrible against Madrimov. To have a better resume than Gervonta, Crawford would need to beat guys like Bakkhram Murtazaliev, Janibek Alimkhanuly, David Benavidez, and David Morrell.
Those are the only two notable fighters that Bud had beaten during his career, and, sadly, he receives so much acclaim for what little he’s done. Even Turki Alalshikh has bought into the hype, believing Crawford is one of the greats without looking closely at his resume and seeing that it’s empty. I’ll never know what Turki sees in Crawford.

“When have I hated on Tank? There’s nothing to hate on him about. When you compare the careers, it’s like night and day. Boy, you can’t even tie my shoestrings,” said Terence Crawford to Ring Magazine about Gervonta Davis.
“So, to call me a hater is crazy. I never hated on him. I always watched his fights. I never said he couldn’t fight. Tank came at me first. I never said nothing to him. He said I had a glass chin. He’s the one that said if he touched my chin, I’m going to sleep,” Crawford continued with his rant about Gervonta.
“He’s the one that started this beef or whatever you want to call it. This disagreement with Terence Crawford because I was coming up to fight Spence. He’s the one that said my name. I never said nothing about him. So, who’s really the hater?”

In the last five years alone, Gervonta Davis has put together a better resume than Terence in his 17-year career. It shows you that Top Rank and the people who have managed Crawford’s career since failed him. He was never tested, which has turned out to be a good thing for him because he’s become one of Turki’s favorites.
Crawford’s 17-year pro resume is empty of names, apart from the car crash-ruined, weight-drained, injury-plagued, chronically inactive Errol Spence and 11-fight novice Israil Madrimov. Once you get beyond those two, there’s nothing there.
