Gervonta ‘Tank’ Davis taunted Teofimo Lopez, reacting to his skit on Friday. Teofimo played a street person on the sidewalk, holding a begging cup and trying to get money from people passing by. He wants out of his contract with Top Rank because he feels he’s not making the big money he should be getting.

Davis showed an old post from Lopez saying he would be the “most paid” fighter at lightweight. That never happened. He moved out of the weight class, and he’s not made the big bucks at 140 that Tank and Ryan Garcia have.

Teofimo seems miserable because he wants to leave Top Rank because he thinks he can make more money fighting with another promoter.

Teofimo has been beaten by George Kambosos, who was involved in two controversial fights that many fans believe he should have lost, and he looks poor. Lopez is now trying to get out of his contract with Top Rank to join the fighters making massive money with other promoters, fighting in Riyadh cards.

Changing promoters probably won’t help Teofimo. His main problems are his lack of talent and mental toughness to beat the best. Losing to Kambosos proved that Lopez could not handle things under pressure.

Lopez’s fights with Jamaine Ortiz, Sandor Martin, and Steve Claggett further reinforced the belief that he was not equipped to fight at a high level. In the eyes of the fans, he should have lost to Jamaine and Sandor.

Ryan has a net worth of $50 million, and he’s never won a world title. Tank has made a lot of money as well. It doesn’t look like Teofimo will ever get the kind of dough that Davis and Garcia have made. He hasn’t been consistent enough with his career since 2021, and his performances are getting worse.

“I have a video on my phone of him saying he was going to be the most paid 135 lbs. He is just talking out his a**. Crazy how things play out, and his a** is starting to look like a light skin Squidward,” said Gervonta Davis on social media, reacting to Teofimo Lopez’s skit of him begging for money on a sidewalk with a sign and a cup.
