Halftime – PSG 0-1 Tottenham

Wow what an opening 45 minutes that was for Thomas Franks first major game in charge of Spurs that was.

He got all the tactics right there – defensively shutting out PSG and making it difficult for Luis Enrique’s side with them happy to soak up pressure.

But then on the counter Tottenham have been more than dangerous creating a number of chances on PSG’s goal whereas the Champions League winners haven’t even had a shot on target despite thrashing Inter Milan in the final!
Kudus has been absolutely incredible – being one of the standout players as he already looks like he’s ready to put everything on the line for a Spurs win.

Unusual from PSG as they just have not hit the ground running in this game – similar to how they started off against Chelsea in the Club World Cup final.

Work to do for Luis Enrique’s men!

45. Oh my word off the post!!

A fairly poor throw in in to the box but Spurs eventually get the ball back into box where Richarlison leaps the highest helping it on to Kudus, who hits the post with a diving header!

SPURS LEAD IN THE SUPER CUP!!!

38. Spurs win a free-kick just inside their half thanks to the sheer determination of Kudus trying to keep the ball.

Vicario hangs in a deep ball and Romero just heads back into that danger area, Paulinha meets the header with a volley which is saved brilliantly onto the bar, but it falls right to Van de Ven, who has the easiest of tap ins to put Thomas Frank’s side ahead!

35. Chance for Dembele!

Kvaratskhelia teases Spence on the right side just outside the box.

His ball in gets deflected and falls right to Dembele who’s eyes lit up with the ball falling right to him but snatches at the chance and blazes it well over.

Unlike him!
