It’s safe to say that it’s been a pretty good week for NFL wide receiver Stefon Diggs.

NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported on Tuesday that Diggs, 31, and the New England Patriots have reached a three-year, $69 million max deal.

Diggs cryptically shared his excitement about the signing on Instagram on Tuesday when he shared a carousel of photos with the caption, “Life lately… found some peace. GOD is great.”

He added several selfies to the post, including one of himself standing alongside a Mercedes while texting on his phone with headphones in.

In another photo, he is swimming in the ocean at sunset while wearing multiple large chain necklaces, one with a large encrusted money symbol on it.

People were quick to comment on the post welcoming him to New England.

One person wrote, “WELCOME TO THE PATRIOTS BABY LETS GOOO!!!”

Another person commented, “Welcome to the Pats.”

Someone else said, “Thank you for saving Drake Maye and New England.”

Diggs is recovering from an ACL injury

The wide receiver is currently five months post an ACL tear that ended his first and only season with the Texans. He’s been working hard to recover from the injury and has shared videos of himself doing workouts to recover.

Many sources think the veteran wide receiver will be a huge asset for Patriots quarterback Drake Maye.

Prior to his ACL injury, Diggs had 47 receptions for 496 yards and three touchdowns in 2024.

He earned multiple Pro Bowl selections from 2020 through 2023 with the Bills.

The Patriots, which ranked 28th in the NFL last year, will be his fourth NFL team.

Diggs previously played for the Minnesota Vikings, Buffalo Bills and Houston Texans. The wide receiver was the fifth round pick out of Maryland in the 2015.

It’s his fifth contract in the NFL. His largest was a four-year $96 million deal with the Bills in 2022. His newest deal included $26 million in fully guaranteed money.

According to Statmuse, Diggs is the 13th oldeest receiver in the league.
