St. Louis Blues score NHL goal of the season with double alley-oops and a baseball swing

You’ve never seen a hockey goal quite like this one.

The St. Louis Blues displayed the kind of magical hand-eye coordination that only the world’s best athletes can pull off, helping them to a 4-1 win over the Chicago Blackhawks on Saturday.

It started as Dylan Holloway circled around the net and flipped a lofted pass toward Jordan Kyrou in the right slot.

Kyrou wasn’t expecting the elevation, and all he could do was whack at it and send it back toward goal.

Holloway, now alongside the net, batted the puck across the face of goal.

There waited Robert Thomas, who took a nice baseball swing to smack the puck into the net.

It opened the scoring in the second period, and it’s one of those goals you can watch over and over.

It’s a key goal, too, as St. Louis tries to hold on to a playoff spot in the Western Conference.

No matter where the Blues’ season goes, they won’t soon forget this lighting of the lamp.
