Williamson started well in the opening round before Simpson came on during the final minute, forcing him toward the ropes. Simpson continued applying pressure in the second, landing effectively before the action repeatedly fell into clinches.
The third produced Simpson’s strongest attack of the early rounds. He hurt Williamson badly during the final minute and had him struggling to remain upright, but Williamson recovered and fought his way through the trouble.
Williamson responded in the fourth, finishing strongly with Simpson against the ropes. Simpson regained the advantage in the fifth before the two spent much of the sixth trading at close range and wrestling for position.
Simpson hurt Williamson against the ropes again midway through the seventh, but Williamson recovered and finished the round strongly. Williamson then produced one of his better rounds in the eighth.
The action remained competitive in the ninth, with Williamson hurting Simpson near the ropes during another series of exchanges. Williamson continued having success in the 10th before Simpson finished the round better.
Both fighters continued punching and clinching throughout the 11th. Early in the 12th, Williamson threw Simpson to the canvas during a physical exchange and received a warning from referee Steve Gray. Simpson finished the fight having done enough across the 12 rounds to regain his titles.
Kraus Stops Hemphill in First Round
In the co-feature, Gradus Kraus (12-0, 11 KOs) stopped Sean “Silky” Hemphill (19-4, 11 KOs) at 1:03 of the opening round to capture the WBA Continental light heavyweight title.
Kraus trapped Hemphill in the corner and unloaded with a series of unanswered punches. Referee John Latham intervened with Hemphill no longer returning fire.
Eales Decisions Krasimirov
Ashlee “Real Deal” Eales (13-2, 4 KOs) defeated Diego Krasimirov (10-1, 5 KOs) over eight rounds in their super welterweight bout.
Referee Michael Alexander scored the contest 76-74 for Eales.
Hassan Azim Stops Jack Martin
Southpaw Hassan “The Hit Man” Azim (10-0, 6 KOs) needed just 68 seconds to stop Jack “Ginger” Martin (10-3, 4 KOs).
Azim hurt Martin with a left hook and drove him toward the ropes. Another left hook dropped Martin moments later, and referee Michael Alexander stopped the contest after Martin regained his feet.
Mauro Silva Hands Christopher First Loss
Mauro “Super Mario” Silva (10-0, 4 KOs) defeated Tyler “Mike” Christopher (12-1, 2 KOs) over eight rounds in middleweight action.
Silva controlled much of the first three rounds and occasionally switched to southpaw. Christopher had greater success late, but Silva had already built a sufficient advantage. Referee Michael Alexander scored it 78-75.
Billy Pickles Wins Six-Round Decision
Billy “The Kid” Pickles (19-1, 1 KO) defeated Max Curtis (10-1, 1 KO) over six rounds at light welterweight.
Referee Mark Lyson scored the fight 58-55.
Ben Rees Scores Quick Knockout
Light heavyweight southpaw Ben Rees (8-0-1, 4 KOs) stopped Marvin “Black Mamba” Tomlinson (4-1, 2 KOs) just 13 seconds into the second round.
Tomlinson switched between orthodox and southpaw during the opening round and frequently tied Rees up. Rees ended matters almost immediately in the second, dropping Tomlinson with a right hook. Referee Mark Lyson stopped the fight without completing a count.
Billy Deniz Stops Alex Carter
Billy “Turkish Tyson” Deniz (16-0, 6 KOs) stopped Alex Carter (5-3) after the second round of their scheduled six-round super middleweight bout.
Bradley Casey Gets Decision Win
Cruiserweight Bradley “Bad Brad” Casey (6-0, 2 KOs) defeated Ross McGuigan (7-14-1, 1 KO) by decision.
Referee Mark Lyson scored the bout 39-36.
James Dean Fury Wins
James Dean Fury (1-0) defeated Dzmitry Atrokhau (16-37, 7 KOs) by decision.
Fury, a cousin of former heavyweight champion Tyson Fury, switched stances and used his jab effectively. Atrokhau landed several right hooks late in the opening round, but Fury generally produced the cleaner work.
Referee Mark Lyson scored the contest 60-54.
Frazer Clarke Stops Lamah Griggs
Heavyweight Frazer “The Eraser” Clarke (10-3-1, 8 KOs) stopped Lamah Griggs (3-14-1) at 1:41 of the second round of their scheduled six-round bout.
Referee Michael Alexander officiated the contest.
