The Big 12 began offering a conference-wide pro day last year and ran it back in 2025. The Big 12’s pro day was held from March 18 to March 21. Initially, the University of Colorado was not expected to hold its own separate pro day, but head coach Deion Sanders announced that the Buffaloes will, in fact, host a pro day of their own on Friday, April 4.
The Sporting News provided updates and highlights from Sanders at Colorado’s Pro Day.

Shedeur Sanders 40 time
Sanders elected not to run the 40-yard dash NFL Combine, meaning there is no available data yet on his 40 time. He also has chosen not to run it at Colorado’s Pro Day, so teams will have to use his game footage to determine his 40-yard dash.
Sanders did not work out at the Pro Day, and opting only to throw.

Here at Colorado Showcase and players are about to run 40s. Shedeur Sanders and Travis Hunter are NOT running. Neither did other testing. Sanders will throw and Hunter will be running routes for him. That is all Hunter is expected to do.

Shedeur Sanders’ NFL Draft projection
Sanders is considered one of the top two quarterback options in this year’s class. He has consistently been mocked in the first round of the draft and rarely makes it past the top 10. Sanders and Miami quarterback Cam Ward are in the top tier of QBs in the class. SN’s Vinnie Iyer projects the Browns as Sanders’ landing spot with the No. 2 overall pick.
Ward is consistently mock drafted ahead of Sanders, but the Colorado QB isn’t expected to have to wait very long on the first night of the draft to hear his name called.
