Good morning, baseball fans!
The San Francisco Giants will be playing the Kansas City Royals on the road today at 1:05 p.m. PDT. Unfortunately it will not be televised, but you can listen in on the MLB At Bat app (and probably KNBR, but it doesn’t specify.)
While we wait, their social media team recently posted a video on their YouTube channel with Ron Washington taking Jerar Encarnación through some first base drills. So I thought we could give that a watch this morning.
Personally, I never had the reaction speed to play the corners (which is ironic considering I did pretty well as a catcher.) So it’s interesting, to me, to watch the two work on fundamentals and see just how far they break the moves down to work on the muscle memory reactions.
