SENNE LAMMENS has been backed to be “one of the biggest signings Manchester United have made in the last decade” after his performance against Liverpool.
The Belgian goalie made several crucial saves on Sunday as his United side left Anfield with a 2-1 win, resulting in SunSport’s Samuel Luckhurst awarding him a joint-high score of 8 in our player ratings.

The Red Devils took a first-minute lead through Bryan Mbeumo before being pegged back late on by Cody Gakpo.
But with injury time approaching, Harry Maguire headed United back in front to inflict a fourth successive defeat on Liverpool.
As for Ruben Amorim’s side, it marked their second league win on the bounce following the 2-0 victory over Sunderland before the international break.
Lammens, who was greeted by United legend Peter Schmeichel today, made his debut against the Black Cats after completing an £18million move from Royal Antwerp over the summer.

The 23-year-old kept a clean sheet on his debut as United recorded a much-needed win.
And although he conceded in Sunday’s win at Liverpool, Lammens still left fans impressed with his performance between the sticks.
He made five saves in total, denying Arne Slot’s champs several goals.
In fact, Lammens faced 2.25 expected goals from Liverpool, meaning he prevented one clear-cut chance which – by the laws of xG – should have hit the back of his net.
And fans were quick to sing the goalie’s praises on social media.
One said: “It’s only been two games but Senne Lammens is going to be one of the biggest signings United have made in the last decade.”
Another declared: “Lammens appreciation post, what a keeper.”
One noted: “Senne Lammens, thank you for changing our lives.”
Another added: “United may have hit the jackpot, Lammens looks to be the real deal.”
