The 2025 NFL Draft is just weeks away and NFL fans are so close to having their biggest questions answered. The Seattle Seahawks will be an interesting team to watch once draft night kicks off.
The team has undergone a transformation this offseason, bringing in a new high-dollar quarterback and showing the door to two of the team’s starting wide receivers.
Now, the Seahawks will enter the draft with several obvious needs. Replacing the production of DK Metcalf and Tyler Lockett, fixing the offensive line, and further strengthening the defense should all be high on the team’s priority list.
Joe Lago of the Big Lead recently compiled version 16.0 of his consensus mock draft. For the Seahawks, the consensus pick is currently Arizona wide receiver Tetairoa McMillan.
Other than incredible two-way player Travis Hunter, McMillan is considered to be the draft’s best wide receiver.
McMillan measured in at 6-foot-4 and 219 pounds at the scouting combine in Indianapolis. The receiver is a big-bodied pass-catcher who is an elite red-zone target and is smooth as a route-runner already.

In 2024, McMillan caught 84 passes for 1,319 yards and eight touchdowns. The receiver earned first-team All-American honors and led the Big 12 in receiving yards.
Overall, McMillan played in 37 games in college and caught 213 passes for 3,423 yards and 26 touchdowns. McMillan passed Bobby Wade to become Arizona’s all-time career receiving yards leader in 2024.
In Seattle, McMillan would seemingly be a perfect fit. As mentioned above, the team shipped off Metcalf to the Pittsburgh Steelers, and McMillan has a similar build and play style to the talented receiver.
The Seahawks have brought in receivers Cooper Kupp and Marquez Valdes-Scantling so far this offseason. However, Kupp has mostly done his damage in the NFL from the slot, and Valdes-Scantling has never been more than an occasional deep threat.
McMillan would join Jaxon Smith-Njigba and instantly give the Seahawks a dominant one-two punch of young receivers.
With all the money that was invested in Sam Darnold this offseason, the team needs to surround the passer with all the weapons it can.
