SCOTT MCTOMINAY has fully adapted to his new Italian lifestyle as fans are convinced they could lip read him.
The former Manchester United midfielder has excelled since joining Napoli as he helped them win the Serie A title last term.
McTominay, 28, has already notched one goal in two league games this season.
The Scottish midfielder showed that he is raring to go in pre-season against Casertana FC.
The former Red Devil headed a chance over the bar in the 1-1 draw and showed his frustration at the miss.
A video of the moment recently went viral on social media after being shared by fans.
Many of them are convinced he let off his steam by using the Italian interjection “Mamma Mia”, which translates to “oh my mother”.
The supporters shared their comments on the moment on social media.
One posted: “Bro’s out here living his best Serie A life! Bet he’s already ordering espresso like a local. You know he’s got more Italian flair in him.”
A second commented: “Classic McTominay energy.”
A third wrote: “He seems to be loving it there.”
A fourth said: “Heard him say ‘bellissimo’ the other day.”
While another added: “It’s the haircut. It’s more Italian than Scottish.”
Napoli and McTominay have had a perfect start to their Serie A title defence.
They started the campaign with a 2-0 win over Sassuolo in which McTominay netted the opener.
Their second league game came against Cagliari and looked set to end in a goalless draw.
However, former Fulham ace André-Frank Zambo Anguissa found the net in the dying seconds of the game to snatch the three points.
McTominay’s stunning form in Ittaly has seen him be linked with a mega-money move to Saudi Arabia.
Al-Hilal were tipped with a move which would see the midfielder join up with the likes of Darwin Nunez, Joao Cancelo and Ruben Neves.
He appears set to stay at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium beyond deadline day and could be joined by Rasmus Hojlund.
The United striker is set to be announced by the Italian giants after a loan with an obligation deal was agreed.
But the deal will only become permanent if Napoli qualify for the Champions League.
