It has been a rough year for New York Giants fans, who have been forced to watch Saquon Barkley live out his dream with a hated division rival.

For the better part of the last calendar year, it seems there’s a new storyline emerging every week with the Giants’ massive failure to retain — or even receive compensation for — its former beloved star.

Now, Barkley is breaking records en route to his first Super Bowl appearance with the Philadelphia Eagles while the Giants desperately hope to find a quarterback coming off a franchise-worst 14-loss season.

Finding a quarterback is the top priority this offseason, and one free-agent option could be Jameis Winston as a bridge for a younger quarterback. Even Barkley agrees that Winston might be a fight for Brian Daboll’s offense.

During a media appearance, Winston found himself in the media scrum with a microphone — because of course he did — and asked Barkley which team could use his services.

Most believed this to be a shot from Barkley at his former team despite the All-Pro running back also saying head coach Brian Daboll will “get you right.”

Before it even had a chance to make waves, Barkley cleared the air on his comment, denying any shade being thrown at the Giants in a now-deleted post on X.

“I literally said dabs (Daboll) gonna get you right… This thing with me and giants is so played out,” Barkley wrote in the since-deleted post.

It has been one of the biggest storylines throughout the season so it’s no surprise Barkley is getting tired of all the questions about the Giants when he’s trying to win a Super Bowl.

Even despite Barkley’s best efforts and good intentions, this won’t be the final time the narrative between the two parties is brought up.
